Our Projects

Fence Repair & Replacement

After strong winds brought down an existing fence, we discovered extensive rot in the posts and surrounding sections. Our team removed the damaged materials, sourced and installed new fence sections, and rebuilt the fence for improved strength and durability. During the repair, we identified the underlying cause of the deterioration: water from a neighbouring gutter downspout was pooling around the base of the fence post. Rather than simply replacing the damaged sections, we addressed the issue to help prevent the same problem from happening again. The result is a solid, straight and sturdy fence built to last.

Bathtub Sliding Door Installation

We installed a bathtub sliding glass door for a client, and he was so happy with the final result that he actually paid us more than our original quote. That meant a lot to us. For this job, we focused on making sure everything was installed properly, securely, and cleanly. We took the time to make sure the doors were aligned, the hardware was fitted correctly, the finish looked clean, and the space was left looking better than when we arrived. At AM Home Reno’s and Repairs, we don’t just rush through the job. We care about the final result, the small details, and making sure our clients feel confident in the work we do. Quality work builds trust. Trust builds long-term clients. If you need help with shower doors, bathroom upgrades, repairs, or general home renovation work, feel free to reach out.

STEFFI HOW

Our fence was blown down by strong winds, and once it came down it was clear that the posts and parts of the fence were completely rotted out. I contacted AM Home Reno’s and Repairs, and they handled everything professionally from start to finish.

Alex sent his worker Adrian, and he went above and beyond. He purchased new fence sections, loaded them into his truck, removed the damaged materials, and rebuilt the fence properly. While doing the work, he also identified the real root cause of the damage, which was water pooling at the base of the post due to the neighbour’s gutter downspout draining directly onto the fence area. No one had ever pointed that out before.

Because of this, Adrian didn’t just replace the fence, he made sure the repair was done in a way that prevents the same issue from happening again. The fence is now solid, straight, and extremely sturdy, and it honestly looks better than before it fell down.

I was completely blown away by the quality of the work and the attention to detail. If you’re looking for fence repair, fence replacement, or a reliable handyman or home renovation contractor in Vancouver, I highly recommend AM Home Reno’s and Repairs. They don’t just fix the problem, they find the cause and do the job right.

Michael J. Maughan,

This is a letter of appreciation for the work you and your team did for us during July/Aug/Sept this year (2023). Our unit is a 3-level townhouse with an outdoor deck at the roof level. Leaks at the roof level had damaged the ceiling below, and had rotted the parapet wall framing behind the hatch door to the deck, causing it to tear itself out of the wall.

The scope of work included locating and repairing the roof leak; replacement of the insulation and the drywall ceiling below; rebuilding the framing behind the deck hatch door and providing new hinge hardware; and repair of stucco at roof level. The work was done very competently and expediently.

Alex, I was particularly impressed with the way you gave this project your personal attention, and the informative and courteous way you and your team communicated with us.

Allow me to convey our enthusiastic thanks for a job well done! I would heartily recommend you and your firm to anyone looking for quality and integrity at competitive prices. Thanks again, Alex!

Jerrod Scribner

Alex and Adrian from AM Home Reno’s and Repairs helped me install a bathroom door that had no hinges or hardware. It was completely unfinished when we started.

He measured everything precisely, cut the hinge slots, drilled the handle opening, and installed the door so it fit and operated perfectly. The work was clean, solid, and done with great attention to detail.

Alex was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. You can tell he understands construction and renovation work beyond just basic installs.

I’d highly recommend AM Home Reno’s and Repairs for door installation, home renovations, or general construction projects. Quality workmanship from start to finish.

Alex initially answered my call for fixing my very loud bathroom fan (some motor issue). we communicated by a couple of calls and texts quickly and arranged the appointment. Alex gave me very reasonable quotes and explained the scenarios.

Adrian had availability the very next day fortunately, and he came over to help us repaired two of our bathroom fans. Adrian was very nice and professional, fixed the problem smoothly exactly as explained initially.

Highly recommended for the amazing work ethics and very reasonable pricing!
